Parousing the Wide World of Webbage, I stumbled upon some video footage of a Japanese Convenience Store. And as usual, I had to go messin’ with it.

A few snips here, and some special effects there, a dash of spiffy Japanese pop music and Viola. Instant Abstract Video Art. This particular Convenience Store is located somewhere in Osaka, Japan.

Theo is often seen in front of our Morrison store, singing and playing his acoustic guitar. This night was a little different. This time he brought along his “lappy”, a BR-9 Lap Steel Guitar, and I had to get me some footage!

Anyone who has ever listened to Theo sing has most likely had their day brightened by his infectious smile and the joy that beams from this mans heart.

Here’s a slice of Peterson’s beehive pie for you to feast your eyes upon.

The recipe is fairly simple. Add approximately 4 hours of Peterson’s video footage, lots of caffeine, a pinch or two of video editing software, some music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and finally some Youtube Vimeo yeast to make it rise (hopefully), and you end up with something like the video below. Would this qualify as “Time-Based Art”? Hmmmm……

The original version is much clearer, however, to compress this puppy under 100 Megabytes, I had to sacrifice the quality a little bit. But it’s still fun to watch.
