We have discovered another good wine to adorn our wine cabinet with, and for under $10 to boot.

Bear Flag WIne is the brand, and here are the selections:

Smooth Red: tempranillo, touriga, zinfandel and alicante bouschet

Dark Red: petite sirah, alicante bouschet, zinfandel, petit verdot and tempranillo

Soft White: muscat of Alexandria, symphony, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and French colombard

Bright White: chenin blanc, sauvignon blanc and gewurztraminer.

And check out this very cool Artwork that adorns the labels!

In our last post, we mentioned how awestruck we are from the amount of artistic genius that surrounds us as of late. There is a plethora of wonderfully unique pieces of Art, Fashion, and Jewelry in our midst, and we couldn’t be happier.

Here at Peterson’s as of late, we have become awestruck by the multitudes of artistic genius that are surrounding us at this very moment. The Real Mother Goose occupies a large space opposite us in the same building, and is always filled with amazing art for sale. And now, our Morrison location at 922 SW Morrison, has been graced by not one, but two Pop-Up Shoppes that surround us on either side.

If you face our Storefront, the Pop-Up Shoppe to the left is Portland Design Collective. Located at 902 SW Morrison.

Below is a photo I took at PDC of a lovely dress, hand-made by a true artistic craftsperson.

A lovely handmade dress, with lots of folds and ripples, with an almost antique looking fabric flowing ever gracefully

One block east from Peterson’s on Morrison, the former Carl Greve Jewelers Shop at 731 SW Morrison has been given new life and is now a very cool Contemporary Arts Space. We are humbled to have such talent in our proximity.

Downtown Portland, Or. Tuesday, Nov. 9th, 2010 –

Portland Mayor Sam Adams kick-starts the Holiday Shopping Season in Downtown Portland with an unveiling at ‘Flurry’, one of five ‘Pop-Up’ Shops that will occupy previously vacant properties throughout the Holiday Season. We’re  hoping they have enough success to lay the groundwork in becoming permanent shopping destinations in the downtown retail core.

For more information on Portland’s Pop-Up Shops, CLICK HERE.

All the staff here at Peterson’s wish a hearty welcome to our new neighbors, two of which will be occupying stores on both sides of our Morrison store, Portland Design Collective (902 SW Morrison) and Downtown Artistry (940 SW Morrison) respectively.

Stay tuned for updates, photos, and video of all the exciting new Pop-Up Shops here in Downtown Portland!

Welcome to the neighborhood!
