I have been wanting to write a post about our Super Mario for quite some time now, and was told several months ago by some people in high places that I was to receive some special photographs taken of Mario after one of his heroic deeds as Security Officer, but have yet to see the photos for myself.
So I’m finished waiting, and have decided to post my own photos of our Super Mario, with a brief testimony of my own personal admiration for this outstanding individual for whom I have had the pleasure of working with on many occasions.

Mario Alonso is a member of our Security Team here at the Peterson’s on Morrison. The Security Team is actually part of Coast Inc. You can view their website HERE.
Mario Alonso originates from Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.
Together with his Wife Yessica, they have 2 children with 1 more on the way. Mario Jr. nicknamed “El Conejito” is 4 years old, his Daughters name is Rosemary and is 3 years old, and the new baby who will be arriving any time now is named “Little Baby Andrew”.
Mario is just plain amazing. Not only does he perform his duties as Security Officer with utmost professionalism, he also is constantly helping out with duties that he is not even paid for, like stocking, and cleaning and organizing, I could go on and on about this mans work ethic.
Another great aspect of Mario is his shining personality. He is a real people person, and takes the time to listen to people and offer a word of encouragement when needed. Not to mention the fact that his smile is contagious. A person can be having a really bad day, and Mario can turn it right around into something positive.
Now, you may be wondering why he is referred to as ‘Super Mario’.

A few months back, some knucklehead thought it would be a good idea to try and take some nice ladies purse, and when the nice lady wouldn’t let go of her purse, the knucklehead then began hitting her. Well, Mario would have none of that, so he tackled the guy, who was twice Mario’s size by the way.

The link to the video below does not do Mario justice in portraying his personality, I think it’s because he was a little nervous being interviewed by a Television News Team.
Here is the story from Fox 12 Oregon HERE.
Oh, and let’s get something clear as far as where this happened. it DID NOT happen in front of Peterson’s as the News Team suggests, rather, it happened across the street, in front of Brooks Brothers, you know, the fancy place that sells the fancy clothes? It happened in front of their establishment, not ours. Maybe Brooks Brothers should get their own Security Guards, looks like they need it more than we do.
This Post is dedicated in the loving memory of Mario’s dog whose name was ‘Lonely’ who sadly passed away this last Mother’s Day. Rest In Peace Lonely, you will be missed Amigo..

Thank you Mario, for being such a great worker, but most of all for being such a great person!
